Take a bird photography day tour from our lodge in Mindo, Ecuador we cover Mindo area and beyond.
Taking a birding tour in the Mindo area is a great way to enjoy tons of additional bird species, many international visitors get amazed in Ecuador by the fact that only a 10 or 15 minute drive can lead you to a completely different world in terms of hummingbird, tanager and even toucan species, the elevation can easily vary within a short drive and with that change dramatically your birdwatching experience. imagine travelling farther.
Ecuador has only about 10% less bird species than the only three outranks in the list of countries with the more bird species in the world, only that Ecuador is 4 times smaller than Peru and Colombia and 30 times smaller than Brazil. So Ecuador is the smartest birding destination.
Since you are probably traveling from far away to come to Ecuador, taking a birding day trip is a very smart choice while visiting Ecuador and make the most of your time here.
Let us know what bird species you would like to see while staying at our Choco toucan reserve & bird lodge. We can take you there.
Whether it is the famous cock of the rock, plate billed mountain toucan, the elusive antpittas, or may be some additional hummingbird species such as the sword billed, purple velvet coronet, violet sylph, or the booted raquet tail, or why not some endemic tanagers like the moss backed or the glistening green, or how about this weird looking long wattled umbrella bird.
